We use half-hourly rates for local moves. Packages start at $60 plus GST per half hour with a two-hour minimum; larger trucks have higher rates and a four-hour minimum. The $594 average is a starting point for budgeting, not a fixed Hornsby price. A shared lift or a long walk from the truck adds time even when you have the same furniture.
The ABS 2021 Census recorded 59.1% of Hornsby's occupied homes as flats or apartments; separate houses accounted for 35.3%. That covers the whole suburb, rather than the station precinct alone. Tell us your floor and whether you have lift access when you enquire.
Our Sydney move difficulty index places Hornsby in the Moderate tier because of its central apartments and surrounding sloping blocks. That's our planning judgement, not a measurement of your home. A ground-floor unit with close loading access can be simpler than a house with steps between the driveway and door.
We work from our Marrickville depot and cover the Upper North Shore as well as the wider northern suburbs. Send both addresses so we can allow for the drive between them alongside loading and unloading.
Hornsby is in Hornsby Shire Council. On Peats Ferry Road near Dural Lane, the council lists passenger pickup areas on the east side in the morning peak and the west side in the afternoon peak. Those short stops aren't somewhere to leave a truck while we empty an apartment. Photograph the parking signs near your entrance, including their hours.
Older address references can also be confusing. The former Pacific Highway through Hornsby's west side became Peats Ferry Road in 2014. Give us the current street address and tell us if the loading entrance is on another street.
The Hornsby section of our truck parking guide records no resident, visitor or tradesperson parking permit listed in the September 2026 council check. Don't assume a permit will reserve the kerb for your move. If there is no suitable legal space, talk to us before booking so we can work through the access with you and the building manager.
We handle interstate moves too. Give us the destination and furniture volume for a quote on the longer journey. The local half-hourly packages aren't an interstate price guide.
If your move-out date comes before you can move in, we offer monitored storage for as little as one night. Include both dates when asking for a quote.
Leave the packing to us, or book help just for your breakables. If you're doing most boxes yourself, tell us which items you want us to pack.
We move office furniture, with evening and weekend options. Confirm your building's permitted moving hours before choosing a time outside business hours.
For machinery, send the item details before booking our industrial removals service. A bedroom count won't tell us enough to quote that load.
The load tells us how much truck space you need. The entrance tells us how we can get it there.
You'll have your team leader's mobile number. Let them know if the building manager changes the agreed entrance or lift access.
We own our trucks. Send the garage clearance if you hope to load inside; a car's access doesn't establish that a removal truck will fit.
Local packages have no call-out fee. If uncertain access makes budgeting difficult, we can inspect the property and provide a fixed quote.
Our trucks carry blankets and mattress covers, with bubble wrap and shrink wrap supplied free. Furniture disassembly and reassembly are included too.
Call between 8 am and 11 pm, any day of the week. Building moving hours may be narrower than our enquiry hours.

Before you reserve an apartment lift, find out how furniture reaches it from the loading entrance. A lift booking is little help if the truck cannot use the garage or your sofa won't fit through the lift door.
For a small load, a longer carry may be manageable. With a full house, every extra trip adds to the hours. Don't choose a smaller truck just to reach the driveway without discussing the furniture volume with us; another trip could outweigh the shorter walk.
Call 1300 005 400 or email info@nextlevelremovals.com.au. Send your preferred date and both addresses, then your furniture list and access photos. Include anything stored in a garage or separate room so it doesn't get missed from the load.
If you're moving to Lane Cove, the access there matters just as much as your Hornsby entrance. Check it before accepting a quote. Once you book, we take a deposit to secure the date and the balance on completion.
It is our Sydney-wide average, not a quote for your address. We allow for your furniture and access at both ends. A walk-up or restricted lift window can take longer than the usual 3–5 hours, so tell us about those before we estimate the cost.
Tell us the exact window before booking the crew. We need to compare it with the load and the walk from the truck. If it looks too short, ask the building manager for more time rather than relying on us to empty the unit faster.
Don't plan on it. Hornsby Shire Council says a No Parking stop is limited to two minutes and the driver must remain within three metres of the vehicle. We need a legal loading position that suits the whole job, not a passenger stop near the station.
Send photos of the approach and the distance from the street. We check the slope, turning space and any overhead branches before quoting. Where truck entry isn't suitable, the quote needs to allow for the walk from a legal street position.
Send its measurements, the lift door and interior measurements, and photos of the stairwell turns. We include furniture disassembly, but not every piece comes apart. We need to check the available route before agreeing how to move it.

I’ve moved many times across Sydney and interstate, and this was by far the best moving experience I’ve had.
The team at Next Level Removals were incredibly professional, patient, efficient and took great care with all of my belongings. They shrink wrapped and protected furniture properly, handled everything with care, and made what is usually a stressful process feel smooth and easy.

Next Level did a big move for us, Sydney to Mansfield VIC and these guys really know what they’re doing. They are professional. The quoted price was very good, as was Roodi’s communication during the process. We had 30 yeas of stuff which included some antiques and our gear was really well looked after, with not a single mark or scratch on anything. They used bubble wrap, paper and vacuum wrap as needed. Have been most impressed by the customer service by the Next Level Removals team.
Was able to book a small job to move a dining table and 4 chairs at short notice for a reasonable fixed price with the help of Roodi.
On the day of the move, both Oliver and Amir were professional, friendly, efficient and provided good communication when advising they were running early. They were also very accommodating in keeping my furniture dry with blankets in delivery when heavy rain arrived at the same time!
