Start with what you're actually taking to Sydney. Use our removal calculator to work through the furniture and boxes, including anything in the garage. If you're selling a sofa or leaving the fridge behind, leave it off the inventory. We need the load you want moved, rather than just the number of bedrooms in the house you're leaving.
Tell us your Gold Coast pickup address and the Sydney address, along with when you need to be out. The volume matters, but so does getting it to the truck. A lift booking or a long walk from the front door changes the work at either end.
For delivery timing, allow for loading on the Gold Coast, rest breaks on the road and unloading in Sydney. Traffic or road closures can add time too. Ask us about the pickup and delivery windows for your particular load before booking cleaners or arranging a key handover around them.
The interstate table further down covers several routes. Your own quote is what you need to budget for this move. If you need help getting packed before pickup, we offer full packing, fragile-only packing and unpacking.
If you're leaving a Gold Coast apartment, ask the building manager about using the lift for furniture and where the truck can load. Send us the available times before you reserve a slot. A truck that cannot enter the basement may need to load from outside, so photos of the entrance and the path from your unit are useful.
At the Sydney end, check when you'll have the keys and whether the building has an unloading window. We need to hear about stairs or a sofa that won't fit through the doorway before it leaves Queensland. We include furniture disassembly and reassembly, but taking the legs off won't make every large piece fit.
Sydney is one hour ahead of the Gold Coast during NSW daylight saving. A 10 am Sydney lift booking is 9 am on the Gold Coast clock. Outside daylight saving, both cities use the same time. When you give us an access window, tell us which address it belongs to so we're working with the right local time.
If you're driving down separately, keep your keys and overnight bag with you. Give yourself room to arrive before unloading; the car's estimated arrival time isn't a furniture delivery appointment.

With backloading to Sydney, your load shares a truck with other customers' goods. You pay for space on that trip, and we need to fit pickup and delivery around the shared journey. Our minimum backloading load is 5 mΒ³. A single chair is unlikely to justify that minimum on its own.
Backloading is worth asking about if you can be flexible with dates and have somewhere to stay while you wait for delivery. It becomes a poor fit if you must empty the Gold Coast property at a fixed hour and move straight into a Sydney apartment with one short lift slot. Tell us those restrictions before choosing the shared option.
A dedicated truck carries your load without sharing the trip with other customers. It gives us more room to plan around your access times, but you pay for the truck rather than sharing its use. It still needs rest breaks and can still meet traffic. We can quote both options against the same furniture list.

Our interstate removals service uses direct road transport, with no rail transfers. We provide marine insurance on interstate moves. Comprehensive cover is included with premium interstate moves and is an optional extra otherwise. Ask us about the cover and exclusions for your booking, especially if you're moving something valuable.
We cannot carry gas bottles, fuel or other hazardous materials. Set those aside while packing so they don't end up in a box for the truck. You also need your own transport to Sydney; customers cannot travel in our truck.

Next Level did a big move for us, Sydney to Mansfield VIC and these guys really know what theyβre doing. They are professional. The quoted price was very good, as was Roodiβs communication during the process. We had 30 yeas of stuff which included some antiques and our gear was really well looked after, with not a single mark or scratch on anything. They used bubble wrap, paper and vacuum wrap as needed. Have been most impressed by the customer service by the Next Level Removals team.
Was able to book a small job to move a dining table and 4 chairs at short notice for a reasonable fixed price with the help of Roodi.
On the day of the move, both Oliver and Amir were professional, friendly, efficient and provided good communication when advising they were running early. They were also very accommodating in keeping my furniture dry with blankets in delivery when heavy rain arrived at the same time!
